What is the scope of DPT in Pakistan, and what are its government jobs?
Talk to at least three teachers you look up to and at least three commercial pilots. Ask them and find out what it takes to get certified or qualified to do each. Look at the financial and time and other commitments you'd be making to take either course. (Getting a Bachelor's and Master's degree? Spending years of your life in the military?) Look at the pay and benefits in both lines of work. Look at the stresses and perks of both lifestyles. For example, would you love the school hours and vacation and being able to be there for holidays and find that great for a family? Would travelling and being gone a lot or at perhaps odd times be fun or an issue for you? What do you think of the potential risks in each profession? Look at what it takes to be a solid and viable candidate for each line of work. (Would you need a certain GPA or GRE score? Can you meet the physical qualifications to become a pilot, and can you get the grades and be successful in terms of the training for becoming a pilot? Including any politics you have to navigate to get rank and flight hours?) How might your perspective on these things change as your life changes? (Health? Family? Family obligations?) What demand for teachers and pilots is there and how is that likely to change? What would be your vocational plan B in each case be? What line of work are you temperamentally best suited for? Which inspires you and is meaningful, or would both be? Are both consistent with your beliefs, goals, priorities, and values?
